PC based motor starter test bench to check the continuity of the motor starter against over current. The bench is customizable for 3, 5, 6 and 12 stations.
3 relays can be at a time checked for continuity and reliability to heat. (The number of relays to be tested can be customized).
The panel can work in
Manual mode: Here all the settings for current and primary voltage are done manually. The test would only start when the Heating Test On, dual push button is pushed ON.
Timer mode: Here too all the settings for current and primary voltage are to be done manually. Here the timer is set, to enter the time, for which the current is to be passed and the test would only start when the dual start push button is pressed.
PC mode, where it performs all the operations automatically using TESTWARE, without manually entering the settings again and again.
If the particular station is to be left empty, then it can be bypassed using a toggle switch present on the panel.
PC USB port is used for PC interface.

SCR Elektroniks has developed a PC based motor starter test bench to check the continuity of the motor starter against over current. The bench is customizable for 3, 5, 6 and 12 stations.
The test bench checks whether the continuity is maintained between the terminals of the relay after it is heated to high temperature, by passing current of more than the rated current.
The bench consists of a ruggedly designed servo controlled AC constant current source with facility to set the current value through the PC software (NI LabVIEW). The PC software then controls the current against line and load regulation in addition to controlling the entire test system.
Each station will employ a custom made pneumatic fixture to hold and to make contacts at each relay and also a continuity indication.
In addition to PC operation, the system can be operated using a micro controller module to set the test time and control the bench.
