PC BASED TEST PANEL
FOR CALIBRATION OF SINGLE PHASE ENERGY METERS
To meet the challenge of energy theft, particularly,
with meter tampering, meter manufacturers have introduced highly
sophisticated Energy meters with wide range of peripheral functions.
To cope up with this technology Meter manufacturers, particularly,
Indian manufacturers have to import the Calibration and Testing
Panels at exhorbitantly high cost. Due to privatisation and globalisation
now there is additional pressure to reduce prices and provide enhanced
functionality.

SCR ELEKTRONIKS have developed Testing Panel
for Static Energy Meters, to cope up with high volume production.
These are useful for Calibration, Full Range Accuracy Check,
and to carry out other tests as per IS:13779-1993.
This is designed to test the meters as per
IS:13779-1993 for various test. This Systems is useful for
Calibration and Full Range Accuracy check of Single Phase
Energy Meters. Along with accuracy, at different currents
and power factors, it also provides facility to carryout
STARTING Current and CREEP TEST.
This is a PC based system which facilitaltes to calibrate
number of metes at a time e.g. 5, 10, 20, 40, 60 & 80
resulting in speedy testing.

TECHNICAL FEATURES / SPECIFICATIONS
The system comprises of :-
01. Power Source with Manual Control. 02. Error
Display Unit at each station. 03. Photo Electronic Sensors at each
Station. 04. Fabricated panel for connecting the meters to the system.
05. SCR Make ADD ON Card. 06. Software.
07. Reference Standard Meter.
01. POWER SOURCE :
- Voltage Source : Adjustable from 0 to 300 Volt with Static
phase shifting arrangement to obtain 90 Deg lead through unity
to 90 Deg lag . Facility to switch to 70 % and 120 % of set
voltage is provided for Creep Test.
- Current Source : 0 - 100 Amps adjustable in steps with switch
and fine by variac. Switching arrangement is made to get 100
%, 400 %, 500 %, 600 %, 800 % also 0.4 %, 5 %, 10 %, and 20
% of basic range directly.
- Indications : Digital Ammeter, Digital Voltmeter, Digital
Power Factor Meter and Digital Line Frequency Meter are provided
on the panel.
02. Error Display Unit :
The Module, micro controller based, communicates with PC and displays
the error in percentage. It also provides PASS/FAIL indication.
03. Photo Electronic Sensor :
For each Station sensing head is provided to detect the blinking
of the LED on meter.
04. Fabricated Panel :
Aesthetically Fabricated panel to house display units, power source
and fixture arrangement for quick connection of the meters.
05. Computer System :
It is Standard Computer system with SCR make ADDON card inserted
in it for communication with
display units.
06. Software : Windows based User friendly
software is provided which will enable operator to select different
test parameters and carryout the test. Also the provision is made
to generate different reports.
07. Reference Standard Meter : Standard Reference
Meter, such as Radian Make type RM 10, RM 12 is used.
